The Podcast 

So I did a thing. Not as a professor nor a professional. As a human. And I’m beyond excited to share it with you. It’s my heart project—a new podcast called The H.I. Note: Healing Inspirations from Life.

The H.I. Note is an interview-style podcast about stories of hope and healing in people's lives and what was made possible as a result.  We have vulnerable conversations with real people from all walks of life about HOW they healed.  My wish is that you walk away with inspiration, an idea/tool for breakthrough in your own life, and the awareness that when it comes to healing: we’re not alone.

About

The Host

HI! My name is Jenn Wynn.  I'm the founder & host of The H.I. Note podcast.  I'm also an educator and entrepreneur, a Black and Latina woman, a mom, a wife, and a cycle breaker.  Specifically, I'm the first Black female full-time professor at NYU's Stern School of Business, the first college graduate in my mom's family, and the eldest of four sisters working hard to end cycles of domestic violence in our family. 

Given my personal commitment to replacing intergenerational cycles of abuse with cycles of self-worth and unconditional love, healing is an essential part of my journey.  I want to know what it takes to heal.  And I want to hear stories and examples from all types of people, from all walks of life: practitioners, teachers, CEOs, and regular everyday heroes--anyone who has experienced healing and can describe what it looks like for them.

About

The Producer

Torrey Crosby is an NYU Stern MBA graduate, educator, producer, and writer based out of New York City. Torrey believes that storytelling, in all its forms, is the most powerful tool for conveying humanity and building community, and it is necessary to live a life of compassion and empathy. They intend to nurture understanding by helping people share their stories through the power of film and art to capture the nuances of the human experience, whether that be through directing, producing, writing, or creating spaces for others.

Torrey hopes to produce storytelling that is engaging, thought-provoking, and emotion-evoking to craft an impact that is enduring and moves the culture forward. Eventually, Torrey would like to support others' artistic endeavors while continuing to teach at the university level to support the next generation of creators and changemakers.
